	Scott completed his undergraduate education in 1983, and then proceeded with a business career in the trading of financial instruments. After an active career trading in Chicago and London in numerous commodity, interest rate, and equity markets, Scott returned to his home state of Iowa. Scott attended Drake University Law School and Iowa State University on a joint degree program, and ultimately received a Juris Doctorate from the Drake University Law School and a Master’s of Science from Iowa State University.
