Biography

Millie has experience litigating at all stages of complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts, as well as arbitral forums. Her practice includes a wide range of high-stakes corporate litigation and focuses on entertainment and First Amendment disputes. She has represented a variety of clients, including many Fortune 500 companies, actors, political commentators, athletes, film financiers, and government officials.

Millie earned her law degree in 2018 from the NYU School of Law, where she was awarded the Larry Fleisher Memorial Foundation Prize for extraordinary achievement in sports and entertainment law. While in law school, Millie was a teaching assistant in civil procedure, a staff editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law, and a law clerk at the Major League Baseball Players Association. Millie graduated cum laude and with College Honors from UCLA, where she double-majored in Political Science and Spanish, and minored in Latin American Studies.

Before joining Singer, Weinsten, Wolf & Jonelis, Millie was a litigation associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Los Angeles.

EXPERIENCE / REPRESENTATIVE CASES

Representative matters include*:

  • Obtaining dismissal of all claims and entry of judgment in favor of The Boeing Company following demurrer in mass tort action;
  • Obtaining favorable results for major entertainment company in profit participation dispute;
  • Representing MSNBC correspondent Joy Reid in defamation action;
  • Representing NBCUniversal in request to televise federal trial of former president based on, in part, First Amendment grounds;
  • Representing Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in action against U.S. House members for improper government probe;
  • Successfully defending ride-share service company in labor & employment dispute.
